Things to do while off-track....

My kids have been off-track from school for almost 3 1/2 weeks now. (Only four more days, only four more days, only four more days!!!) What a challenge it is to keep them occupied and entertained during the cold winter months! Here are a few things they have been able to do to make the time go by (besides playing with friends)...

Kekoa helping his brother make a sports plaque for his room...

"Sleep-overs" in the boy's room...

Anela made a very creative, tropical Valentine's box for her class party when they return to school.(Kanani made the surf boards)You lift the roof of the shack to slip your Valentine into the box. There will be prizes and as far as I'm concerned, she gets first place from me!

Kekoa used his birthday money from the family to buy his RipStik..now he just has to figure out how to ride it!

Not to be left behind, Alakai used his birthday gift certificate from Auntie Tanalei and Uncle John to buy a skateboard. Apparently he doesn't need lessons! (Big surprise there!)

And of course numerous make-overs with friends...anyone dare come to our salon?

I better get home quick to show your son how to use a rip stick. I think I showed you picks of me using one. Those things are awesome!! And no surprise at all with the skateboard lessons. He is going to be extreme. I can already see it!!

I remember you saying that you could come to Logan...well I wouldn't want to come here either! I think I'm a fan of regular school scheduals. I'm in need of a makeover :)

So fun! I always loved being off track, but I was ready after a few weeks to get back to school. One of my favorite things to do during the winter was the bowling league for the off track kids.

I've enjoyed your blog. This is going to be a fun family activity.
I now know what a RipStik is. Anela's Valentine Box is awesome.
Alakai on a skateboard seems perfectly natural to me. Kanani in the makeover picture fits. Tucson is warm, sunny and restful. I finally got time to read everyone's blogs and I'm hooked on blogging. Love you all, Grandma N.

Yeah, fun times at your house! I have a red RipStick too. Kayleen bought it for me for Christmas. It's a lot of fun. We should get together and have a make-up, sleep over, ripsticking, game party night!!!
