Gardner Village is so much fun in October, so my fellow beehives and I decided to make an activity out of it. The Miamaids joined us and we all dressed up and visited the witches that are displayed at almost every corner of Gardner Village. It was so much fun!
Since Keawe and I were able to take Anela and her friends to Thanksgiving Point, we decided to do a repeat (lucky us!) and take the younger three to enjoy it as well...skipping the Haunted Maze and instead trying our luck in the 45 minute corn maze. All I can say is..we are grateful that Keawe is such a good navigator because when I was in the lead, all we got was lost! They also had fun playing corn ball, riding mini go-carts, and playing tether ball. (Anela was at the temple doing baptisms followed by volleyball at the church)
The following day after school, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Hale, Auntie Erika and Penny, and Auntie Angela, Kendra, Trisha, and Hailee to visit the witches at Gardner Village. (can't get enough of that place..seriously adorable!) We happened to go during "Witch Fest" so there were a lot of "real" witches walking around. We snagged a few and took pictures with them.
And of course, the funnest thing about Halloween (for the kids) is the pumpkin carving! Mom just thinks painting them would be so much more fun, but no. It is nice that the kids are getting old enough to do their own though. Alakai got help from dad, and mom helped out here and there if needed. Some pretty cool creations...
Their school decided to do a Halloween parade this year (like the ones I grew up doing in my elementary school) and all the parents were able to come and see. I then went to Kekoa's class and helped with their Halloween party...some parents have such cute ideas for entertainment!
