At about 4:00 pm we went on over to Grandma and Grandpa Naluai's for a traditional Christmas evening of dinner, presents, and games. John, Tanalei, and Keana drove down to spend Christmas with us this year. We were almost a complete family..missing Pete, Kuuipo, and kids! We were also anticipating the arrival of our newest cousin, Kawika. Due to the swine flu epidemic his pediatrician advised against having him around children until he was a little older, so none of us had met him yet. Of course the kids mauled him! (after major hand sanitizers of course!) What a cutie! After eating a fantastic dinner we gathered in the living room to open presents. The cousins also exchange names and give one another a present. They opened that gift first...
Then came the gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Naluai! Boy they did good! Smiles all around! Auntie Tiare couldn't break away from buying gifts for all the kids, bless her heart, and so the kids had a present from her and Uncle Jonny as well.
It was a wonderful, unforgettable Christmas! We love our families so much and are so greatful for the memories of the last couple of days.
