My baby has turned four! I can't believe how fast these past years have gone and yet it seems so long ago that he was a baby. He has been my son that has always been fast forwarding his development (physically) so that Keawe and I are left to wonder if he was ever a baby at all..At this exact moment Alaka'i is looking at his "first year of life" scrapbook. He says as he's looking at the pages, "Mom, I don't remember this." Nope, neither do I...good thing for scrapbooks! He is someone who is always (without an ounce of fear) trying new things. He learned how to ride his two-wheeler last spring and by the end of the summer was doing jumps off a ramp owned by a neighbor. He is perfecting his roller-blading skills and can do a full 360 degree turn (he started when he was two). He jumped off the diving board at the swimming pool for the first time this past summer and got really upset when dad caught him (he wanted to do it all by himself and then swim without help to the edge). He can do a perfect unassisted hand stand and has beat Anela in a hand stand contest. I have no idea what the future holds for him, but whatever it is...watch out! He's on full throttle! Yikes! He sees anything crazy, like emails that I get of people wearing flying suits and jumping off cliffs, or crazy snowmobile tricks, or Ice-skating flips..whatever it may be, his response is, "I need to learn that!" Can we say, AFLAC! Good thing we have it!

Hey it is Amy from book club. We missed you this last month. I hope you don't mind me keeping track of your cute family and reading your blog! So cute and so fun!
You are a blogging queen!!! Look at you go. :) Alaka'i is awesome. He will probably be an X Games celebrity and travel the world like a rock star!!!
It is awesome how time has flown with him growing up. It just means that I am getting closer to coming home. He definitely is going to be someone that will be wanting to do extreme sports. Thats awesome! I will be happy to do them with him. Like the flying suit base jumping.
You totally caught on to this blogging thing. I love it! He is so freakin' cute. You are going to have your hands full with your boys when they grow, just trying to keep them alive.
