Anela is a Young Woman (officially)!

So, what does a 12 year old girl want for her birthday? Something we swore she'd never get at the age of 12...looks like she hated it too...

Yes, we buckled and realized the advantages to having constant contact with our very social daughter! She got a few other things as well..including birthday hugs and spanks! She went to school, I joined her there for 6th grade field day, watched as she exchanged phone numbers with her friends (cute), took her to lunch to Subway, then back to school. When she got home I sent her and Kanani over to a neighbors house to get their toenails done. (gel toes)

Grandma and Grandpa arrived soon after that with a teaser gift for Anela. (bottom right hand corner) Grandma has been making the kids these enormous awesome blankets for their birthdays and she pretended to have forgotten to do that for Anela. Instead she received a Tinkerbell pen, a Costco cash card (with no dollar amount on it), and nerds. Anela then pretended to be excited about that huge disappointment and we preceded to go to dinner. Right before we left Grandma "found" her present in my bedroom and boy, that fixed everything! As you can see from her face! We ended the day going to JCW for dinner and her favorite shake. It was a good day!

The Birthday Party!!

Two days later we had a huge birthday party for her. It felt like she invited the entire 6th grade! This was her first boy/girl party as well, and needless to say, we were glad it was at the church! Pure fun chaos! She opted for a Dodge ball Mania party...a FOUR HOUR dodge ball party!

She got lots of cool stuff...(random side note: there are three sets of twins and one set of triplets in this group-what was in the water that year?)

LOOK AT THIS GROUP! And there are more in the kitchen behind me and in the gym! Anela had a huge smile on her face! Keawe and I let out the hugest sigh when it was all over! Happy birthday Nelli!

Birthday with the Naluai's

Anela and Auntie Kaylani shared a Sunday party at my house. She got clothes, gift card, YW bracelet, date with Auntie Kaylani to see a movie, and a date with Grandma to explore family history together.
