First Day of School

Well, the first day of school arrived and not everyone was happy to go..Kanani was so upset because the teacher she thought she was getting was transfered to another school. The unknown teacher in 6th grade, Mrs Seare, was now her new teacher. Because of this, she had a very hard time stemming the flow of tears. I couldn't take a picture of them the first day because she was crying too hard. Second day was a little better so I stole a picture before the tears started to flow again. Bless her heart! Turns out that Mrs. Seare is completely awesome! Whew!

Notice the time that Anela gets to leave every morning for school....6:40! That calls for some VERY early family scripture reading!

Alaka'i is now a 1st grader...sniff. My little buddy is gone for the whole day. It was definitely harder for mom...Not only is he a 1st grader, but I enrolled him in the French Immersion Program which means he has half the day with a teacher who ONLY speaks French to the kids while teaching them science, math, and P.E. We'll see how this goes:)
