This teenager stuff sorta snuck up on us. Where did the past 13 years go? One minute Keawe and I were both crying in the delivery room as we saw and heard our first born daughter for the first time, and the next minute she's turning 13. It came fast and we sure did celebrate it. Along with her remodeled bedroom, she picked up some new clothes too. (what more could a girl want, right?) She then had to go to school where she found her locker decorated by her cute friends. Later that evening she requested Zupas to eat and we joined Grandma and Grandpa Hale, Auntie Angela, Kendra, Trisha, and Hailey. She was given a very nice memory foam pillow and some black frames to hang on her walls in her bedroom. The following Sunday she received her blanket/quilt from Grandma Naluai. She and Anela spent many hours together making it. We actually painted her room to match this cute quilt.
That weekend she partied with her girlfriends at our home. I wondered what teenage girls would do to entertain themselves. Never did I imagine that they would break out the old costumes/dress-up clothes and jam out in them. What a hoot that was to watch. (and record for later blackmail..hee hee) I think we are actually going to like having a teenager in our home:) Happy birthday our sweet Anela!
